Jemma

It was always a dream to own a landrover, not a fancy one but a real nuts and bolts type of landie and so Jemma came on the scene. I distinctly remember being told that I hadn't just bought a vehicle, I had bought a hobby and boy, was that right....landies of course need plenty of tender loving care!

That being said, Jemma was a fantastic bush vehicle and took us on some great trips. The journey from Johannesbury to Malawi was packed full of adventures with plenty 'seat of the pants' stuff, but that's another story......

Now, Jemma has come into her own in the vineyards of the Cape: taking Jem up onto the steep muddy slopes of the Simonsberg mountains to check out a potential vineyard or grape supplier; hauling trailers laden with grapes or giving the kids a buzz as they clamber in excitedly - Jemma just has an air of anticipation about her, never quite knowing what will happen next - I guess it is called 'charachter'!

Her most important task now is to sniff out potential for single varietal vineyards....watch this space.......
